Because we are a multidisciplinary consultancy firm, we are able to advise about virtually any architectural or structural engineering question. Particularly enjoyable challenges are provided when clients ask us to direct an entire building process. Together, we look for makeable and structurally feasible solutions that meet all requirements set by time and budget. The challenge is to convince clients of our ability to find a good balance between the desired functionality within the architectonic design and a responsible investment.
Because there are so many preconditions to be met these days - including rules & regulations, fire safety, cost control, and alignment with other disciplines - the ideal recipe can only be found when looking for integrated solutions. It is essential to work on a project in an interdisciplinary way. At ABT, this is exactly what we do!
In 1985, I graduated as an architectural engineer. After having worked as a project architect with two architectural firms for a number of years, I entered into employment with ABT as an architecture project leader in 1992. Since 2001, I have been senior consultant, and in 2002 I became a partner. After an ABT career from sector head to director architecture and systems, I was made responsible for the consultancy group building management in 2013.
