high-rise

Large Dutch cities and companies increasingly see high-rise buildings as a way of raising their profile. Add to this the scarcity of building land and the benefits of high-rise soon become apparent. Erecting these tall, heavy buildings on our often wet and weak Dutch soil makes demands on the inventiveness of all those involved. Other extreme loads imposed by nature also call for creative, practical solutions.

High-rise building methods are becoming increasingly efficient. It is therefore essential for geotechnical and structural advisers to work closely together. At ABT, they do just that, ensuring that the two most important aspects of the project – the land and the building – are seen as a whole. This is reflected in the project’s economic outcome and in innovative solutions.
